GP Engines and V1 and V2 motors

Hi all, this video has been brought to my attention on youtube so i just wanted to clarify again for everyone

Please all there is no such thing as a GP61cc V2 engine. I have been a dealer for GP engines from the very beginning of GP I think now 9 yrs ago. there have been some cosmetic changes such as Blue anodised prop hubs (which this one does not even have), adding a choke arm to make it a simpler install, ignition units were upgraded etc, ALL GP 61cc are the very same version with no change to the engine itself.

On the GP 123cc there is a V2. and in fact ALL GP123cc in circulation are V2 motors. ALL GP123cc V1 were recalled and replaced by V2 motors very early on due to a fuelling issue which was resolved by GP. As soon as this was resolved GP undertook to replace ALL V1 motors out there with brand new V2 motors at no cost to the customers!

Having dealt with many R/C engine brands before GP engines i had a good idea of what was needed in an engine when I first contacted GP. After chatting with Fergus about them and what we needed in the market in order to succeed we placed our first order. when we received them and test ran the first engines we knew we had something special. Credit to GP too for always backing us where needed, as this is what has built a trustworthy brand worldwide. Many were sceptical of GP in the beginning saying they would never last as they are just another "chinese engine". well 9 years later they are still here and dominating a lot of markets as they do perform, provide great power and are extremely durable at a very attractive price point! Made in Taiwan ( most definitely not Chinese!! ) under great Q/C and with parts made in some of the top 2 stroke manufacturers facilities these engines are built to perform.
if you have any questions on GP engines, feel free to pm me at any time.
