The DA-120 is a computer designed high performance model aircraft engine. At first glance, people are convinced of the excellent finish. The cylinder, piston and crankshaft are designed exclusively by Desert Aircraft and manufactured by specialist companies.

With the DA-120 it has been possible to develop an engine that has the power of a 150cc engine and the weight of a 100cc engine. Compared to the DA-100, the DA-120 is 175 g lighter. The DA-120's lightweight cylinder with the thin cooling fins and details such as the Titanium propeller shaft allows for low weight without compromising structural integrity.

The DA-developed reed valves plus the Walbro carburettor are perfectly matched to the engine, allowing the engine to run smoothly in all positions and throttle settings. An aluminum arm is mounted on the throttle of the carburettor.

As with all DA engines, the DA-120 is factory tested with carburetor needles adjusted. The worldwide DA service and support is unique.
