Product description :
The PBR-5XS has been developed specifically for indoor model aircraft. With a weight of just 2g, the PBR-5XS is ideal for all models where minimum weight is vital. That is why the PBR-5XS is not housed in a case, has no integral sockets, and the circuit board thickness has also been reduced to the absolute minimum.
The receive section of the PBR-5XS utilises a chip antenna which is accommodated on the circuit board itself, where it is protected from mechanical influences. With its compact design and chip antenna, the PBR-5XS offers a range of more than 1000m.
One further special feature is the auxiliary analogue measurement input, to which the flight battery can be directly connected, e.g. using the balancer socket; the PBR-5XS then monitors the voltage of the pack (up to 3S / 12.6V), and passes that information directly to the transmitter via telemetry. This facility allows the pilot to monitor the voltage of the flight battery and the speed controller's BEC voltage via telemetry.
The BEC power supply, all the servos and the flight battery voltage monitor are soldered directly to the circuit board of the PBR-5XS. Once this is done, the receiver can be fitted with a heat-shrink sleeve for protection.
The receiver units
Eight different receivers are available to match the ATOM/CORE:
PBR-14D
This is a 14-channel receiver with two redundant receive sections. One special feature is the integral electronic 20A switch which can be operated using either the integral blue push-button or an optional Micro-switch. The battery is connected to the MPX high-current socket, which ensures that reliable power is available for all fourteen servo sockets. The unit features two P²BUS interfaces for servo and telemetry data, and an auxiliary Data/FastTrack output which can provide 3rd Party bus interfaces or channel 15. It is also possible to connect the iGyro SAT, allowing the integral iGyro function to be used. If the unit is combined with the PBR-26XS, the internal receive sections can be expanded by one additional receive section.
PBR-10SL
This is an ultra-slim 10-channel receiver for models with limited internal space. It features one receive section and a P²BUS interface for servo data and telemetry data, plus an additional output which can be set to operate either as the SRXL-Bus or channel 8. It is also possible to connect the iGyro SAT, allowing the integral iGyro function to be used. The internal receive section can be expanded with the PBR-26XS to form a redundant receiving system.
PBR-9D
This is a nine-channel receiver with two redundant receiver circuits. The unit features a P²BUS interface for servo and telemetry data, and an auxiliary output which can be configured either as SRXL bus or as channel 10. It is also possible to connect the iGyro SAT, allowing the integral iGyro function to be used. If the unit is combined with the PBR-26XS, the internal receive sections can be expanded by one additional receive section.
PBR-7S
This is a seven-channel receiver with a single receiver circuit. The unit features a P²BUS interface for servo and telemetry data, and an auxiliary output which can be configured either as SRXL bus or as channel 8. It is also possible to connect the iGyro SAT, allowing the integral iGyro function to be used. If the unit is combined with the PBR-26XS, the internal receive section can be expanded to form a redundant receiving system.
PBR-5S
This is a five-channel receiver with a single receiver circuit. The unit features a P²BUS interface for servo and telemetry data, while its minuscule size makes it the natural choice for small models. Output 5 can be set to S.BUS, SRXL or PPM signal from the transmitter; typical applications include use with flybarless systems or flight simulators.
PBR-5XS
This is an ideal 5-channel receiver for indoor model aircraft. The unit has no case or sockets, reducing its weight to 2g. The servo leads have to be soldered directly to the circuit board. The voltage of a flight battery can be measured directly at the receiver, and sent to the transmitter via telemetry. Installation is significantly eased by the receiver's integral chip aerial.
PBR-26D
This is a satellite receiver featuring two redundant receiver circuits. The unit features a P²BUS interface for servo and telemetry data, and an auxiliary output which can be configured either as SRXL bus or S-BUS. This unit is designed to be connected to our PowerBox power supply systems or a flybarless system.
PBR-26XS
This is an extremely small satellite receiver fitted with one receive section. The receiver features a P²BUS interface for servo data and telemetry data, and can be connected to any PowerBox power supply. It is possible to set the output to FastTrack-Out, S.BUS, SRXL or PPM. If you select the FastTrack-Out option, the PBR-26XS can be employed as an expansion to the receive sections in existing receivers.
